This year, The Loretto Foundation is throwing an event you won’t want to miss.
On October 10th, the halls of Middle Ages Brewery in Syracuse will be filled with people (hopefully that includes you) coming together to further The Loretto Foundation’s commitment in advocating for older adults and raising funds to help sustain Loretto’s role as an innovator in long-term care. And while they’re doing it, they’ll be having a swinging time.
The Venue
Located on 120 Wilkinson Street in Syracuse, Middle Ages Brewery has been on the scene since 1995, providing the community with locally brewed beer for the past 27 years. They are the oldest brewery in the city, and on any given night that you walk into their taproom, you’ll find two dozen beers on tap and many more to pour into a satisfyingly frosted mug. To add to the fun, the establishment features live music in their beer hall so you can sip local flavors and get a glimpse of the local talent as well.
The Band
The Loretto Foundation is happy to have booked the locally renowned blues band ,The Shylocks, this year to help our crowd sway and move their feet. Not a single blues themed venue in Syracuse goes without this acoustic duo. They were part of this year’s 2024 New York State Blues Festival, rocking out at Chevy Court at the NYS Fairgrounds. Now they’ll be filling the beer hall with their bluesy vibes to help set the mood and keep your ears and feet enticed throughout the night.
Silent Auction
This year, we’re opening up our silent auction early. You can bid on high quality and exciting items. All proceeds from the auction will go to support our residents and employees. We look forward to honoring two amazing figures in Syracuse who have made significant contributions to Loretto and the older adult community. With the return of our awards program this year, we’ll be honoring Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon and Syracuse Women’s Basketball Coach Felisha Legette-Jack.
