Felisha Legette-Jack is receiving a 2024 Community Impact Award, which recognizes individuals or groups who champion the Loretto mission and have contributed to the overall well-being and vitality of the community. Her leadership in the Central New York Community and her character-focused approach to coaching aligns with Loretto’s mission to be a family of exceptional people caring for and about each other and our company values of trust, kindness, teamwork, and leadership.

Felisha Legette-Jack is the Syracuse Women’s Basketball Coach who has led the Orange Women in back-to-back 20-win seasons from 2022-24. A native of Syracuse, she is a 1989 graduate of Syracuse University, an Orange All-American, and has over 20 years of experience as a collegiate head coach. In 2024, she was awarded the 2024 ACC Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year, and she is enshrined in multiple halls of fame, including the Greater Syracuse Hall of Fame, the Syracuse Urban Sports Hall of Fame, and the Syracuse University Orange Plus Hall of Fame.

Ryan McMahon is receiving the 2024 Loretto Distinguished Service Award, which is presented to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional commitment, leadership and impact in improving care for older adults within Loretto.

Ryan McMahon has served as the Onondaga County Executive since 2018, and his work on combating poverty, building our community’s infrastructure, and championing economic development initiatives has benefited our Loretto family of residents, participants, and staff. He partnered with Loretto during the COVID-19 Pandemic, ensuring we had PPE and supplies critical to Loretto as the County’s safety-net provider and helping Loretto establish as the region’s only COVID transition facility. McMahon has worked with Loretto to secure grant funding, advocated for affordable housing, a critical need for our frontline staff, and supported our workforce development programs.

The Loretto Foundation’s annual Hope Celebration is a fundraising event that raises money and awareness for The Loretto Foundation, a not-for-profit organization established to advocate for older adults and support Loretto’s role as an innovator in long-term care. Last year, the Hope Celebration raised over $200,000 to help Loretto residents and employees in need.

The Foundation provides a variety of programs and initiatives that deliver hope and compassion to Loretto employees and residents like workforce development programs that offer paid training, innovative technology for residents, emergency grants for employees in crisis, memory care unit amenities, and free diapers to Loretto employees with small children.
