CNA Program Overview

Loretto’s CNA Training is a 5-week program that includes both classroom learning and hands-on clinical training. For your convenience, training is offered at two locations, Loretto Health & Rehabilitation in Syracuse and The Commons on St Anthony in Auburn.

The program runs 8 times per year - but you can start earning even before you enter the course through our support services program. You will be immersed within a Loretto community and work and be paid in this support role before and throughout the duration of the course.

After completing the course, you will be ready to take the state exam, including a written and skilled clinical portion. After passing, you will be certified to work as a Nursing Assistant in NYS!

"As a CNA in the short-term rehab unit, I enjoy being able to see the patients progress in their recovery and eventually be able to return home. I feel appreciated by the patients in our care. It's very rewarding."
